Maybelline Instantly Anti Age Eraser.

Hello my lovelies,

Hello Beauties! I hope you've all had a great week and are looking forward to a nice sunny weekend. Recently, I tried Maybelline Fit Me concealer I wasn't completely happy about the Fit Me Concealer (it was a little too dark and oxidised on my skin). So I decided to have a look around.

I'd been hearing a lot about the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer from some of my favourite bloggers, so I thought I'd give it a go as their 'light' shade looked like a good match for my skin - I know it doesn't look like it on camera, but it really does match my foundation and under eye area perfectly!
The concealer comes in a plastic tube, but instead of the normal doe foot applicator or similar, it has a furry/sponge-like dabber on the end (I had no idea what to call this, clearly haha).

I'm not sure how hygienic this is, especially if you apply this to blemishes, but apart from that fact, I really like this applicator. It makes applying the concealer under my eyes really easy. It allows you to cover large areas quickly, or to be really precise and dab it onto a blemish without smudging concealer all over your face.
The formula of this concealer was what really won me over though. It's a really lovely, creamy formula which blends into your skin effortlessly and the slight yellow tone in the concealer really helps to brighten my under eye area. I apply this in an upside-down triangular shape under my eye and blend out to create a more highlighted effect, which I find really helps to brighten up my complexion on those early winter mornings.

I'm also really impressed with the coverage of this concealer. It's not a particularly thick concealer and feels weightless on the skin, so I was expecting minimal coverage, but this concealer easily covers my dark circles (it's not an easy task - trust me!) and any blemishes while remaining pretty undetectable on top of my foundation.

If you're looking for a new concealer, I really recommend you take a look at this one. It's a great all round concealer which I think would work on all skin types. The shade range isn't huge, which is usually the case for drugstore concealers unfortunately, however for £7.99 I don't have any complaints and this product is fast reaching holy grail level for me.

Maybelline Pore Eraser Primer

Hello my lovelies,

I seem a bit awkward writing about a product so long after the release and after almost every other blogger has probably already featured it on their blog. But hey, working full time prevents me from being able to blog so often so lets forgive me and read another ;)

I'm sure we all know the hype that was Baby Lips, which I personally gave in to and loved. After seeing the release of Baby Skin, I decided to stand back and watch other bloggers opinions on the product before I tried for myself. I have a high-street fave primer, my trusty Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer and wanted to wait until I had finished that product before starting a new one.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser (what a mouthful) is £7.99 which I think is a fair price to pay for a primer. It claims to smooth and give poreless looking skin with it's silicone based formula, duh!
Baby Skin is a clear in colour, gel-like formula primer. I love the tube, it come out of the tube easily yet not too quickly. Squeezing out a pea sized amount is enough to cover my face and neckline.
It's very silky smooth to apply, gliding over the skin, leaving a silky soft base before apply makeup. It does appear to give the impression of minimised pores by giving a blur effect to the skin. The finish is lovely and matte, it stops the shine from my oily-prone skin for a while but sadly I have a very oily t-zone so I do have to blot in the middle of the day. When applying my concealer and foundation, especially to areas where my pores and lines are deep, I have found that Baby Skin does a really good job at preventing my makeup from slipping throughout the day.

Is Maybelline's Baby Skin in your daily routine? If not, do share your favourite primer! I'm all for trying new things!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara

I am a huge lover of Maybelline mascaras. Yes they have had some misses but the majority of the releases are huge hits. I was super excited when they released the Big Eyes mascara and I am happy to report with after using it non stop for 3 months it is love.

Little bit of eyelash background, they are straight and I mean straight, we are talking they cover my eyes they go down that much. However nothing a good eyelash curler and a good waterproof mascara can't sort out...kinda. Enter Maybelline Big Eyes mascara with two ends one for your top lashes and one for your bottom lashes, now feel free to correct me but I think that Maybelline are the first drugstore brand to do this. I know we have had double ended mascara before but not one intended for your bottom lashes right?

First off we will talk about the brushes, the top one is a chunky brush, not too big, its regularly shaped, I was expecting it to resemble The Falsies brush but its more like The Colossal Brush. Overall its a good shape for providing length and loads of volume. The other end is a small tapered brush that makes its so perfect for the lower lashes, how many people can put up their hand up and say they have smudged their under eye area trying to apply mascara with a huge brush? (*raises hand) well with this brush your problems are fixed, if I had to compare it any mascara I would say its very close to the Clinique bottom lash mascara, but obviously a bit cheaper. Also the brush works well for getting right in the corner of your top lashes.

I bought the waterproof version mainly because I need to make sure the curl lasts all day and I can happily say with this mascara it does. The overall finish isn't too dramatic of a look but the lashes look defined and have a good amount of volume. So if you are looking for a everyday mascara that keeps the lashes curled and gives them good amount of volume or if you even just struggle with applying mascara to you bottom lashes then give this one a whirl, you wont regret it.

 Mascara retails for €11.99 / £8.99 / $9.49

Urban Decay Naked Foundation.

Hello my beautiful lovely dolls, now I don't know about you but I struggle to find the perfect foundation especially for my skin tone, I'm fair with cool undertones apparently. All the foundations I've tried from drugstores just don't seem to work. I normally go for ivory shade. Now ivory does suit, however when you changes from say Rimmel to Maybelline they tend to differ a bit.

So I thought why not go up market a bit and try high end brands. So I ventured into Debenhams and looked at Chanel, Mac, Dior and Urban Decay. I went to the Dior stand and got matched to a lovely shade which suited my undertones. So I got it and wore it till I run out, now for me that shows I truly loved it. So when it came time for me to replace it I thought £47 is a bit pricey and it didn't really give that go a coverage I had to put two loads on and yes it looked cakey.

So I went over to Urban Decay and spoke to the lovely girl there and she matched me to Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation in 1.0 now this is medium to full coverage and is runny so you don't need a lot which is good. When she put it on it felt as though I didn't have any foundation on, yet when I looked in the mirror you could see I did as it covered my blemishes.

The girl told me I didn't have to buy it there and then I could think about it and come back. Needless to say I didn't need to think and I got it there and then and it was only £27, which is a decent price I must say. It gives good coverage, blends nicely, the packaging is simple yet eye catching. You don't need a lot which means you won't need to go out in say 3 months time to buy more, plus it's build able but won't make you look cakey. It has a lovely velvety feel to it and sinks into the skin perfectly.

Here's what it looks like, as you can see it's quite sheer so a little goes a long way!

This is it blended! Now I don't know if you can see but near my wrist I have a scratch that my dog did. The foundation had nearly made it disappear! Also some of my freckles have been covered so they are visible!

This is what I look like with one layer of it on. I'm sorry for the quality I took it with my iPad. However as you can see it's given me really good coverage and my blemishes have been covered really well.

I am loving Urban Decay products right now and this foundation is amazing, it just goes on flawlessly and has a velvety feel to it which makes it feel as though you aren't wearing any make up, hence it being called Naked.

I would love to know if any of you have tried this foundation and whether or not you approve of it.
