It's that simplistic monochrome Lush packaging that always gets us, but more often than not, the product inside is pretty dreamy too. This is certainly true of our latest skin-saving love, this divine skin conditioner really works to soothe and soften even the driest of areas - all without leaving the skin feeling greasy or sticky.

This is a little like a hair conditioner, but for the skin - the idea is to apply it in the shower, smothering it all over the body, and then rinse clean. The product is formulated with a blend of gorgeous butters and oils, these truly nourish the skin and leave the entire body looking radiant and feeling oh so supple.
The brand say this smells of roses, but it's more of a sweet, warm scent rather than the typical rosy fragrance - it's actually a lot like the Honey I Washed The Kids soap. Delicious!

The body conditioner applies beautifully and is instantly relieving on the skin and it even tackles those 'never hydrated' areas like elbows and knees without a hitch. The silky formula can be spread on with hands and massaged in, all you have to do is rinse it off afterwards for silky soft limbs.

This can be used alongside your normal body lotion or oil, or instead of - you decide. It really is a dreamy treatment that promises supple skin with every use.

I'd heard so many great things about the hair care from Lush that I decided to try some and started with this. I was drawn in solely by the fact that this was made from coconut, which is my favourite scent ever, as to how good it was I completely left up to chance.

Coconut oil is full of proteins which do absolute wonders for your hair. It restores and nourishes dry and damaged hair and leaves it super soft. Not only does this contain coconut oil but contains bits of actual coconut which makes for a really strange consistency but I guess has double the benefits. This also contains jojoba oil and olive oil to moisturise and strengthen the hair and lemon and papaya juice to cleanse and leave it all squeaky clean.

I've been using this for just over a month and I absolutely love it. My hair is shinier, feels in much better condition all round and is softer than it's ever been. My hair is also ridiculously full of knots 90% of the time because of how long it is but when I've used this it's so soft that it's practically impossible for my hair to get tangled.

I think this is a really great shampoo and if you can get over the consistency then I think it will be a winner for pretty much anyone, but especially those with dry hair. There is one down side though, with the bits of coconut in it, I did spend much longer on rinsing then I normally would do, but the end result is always worth it, trust me.

Lush Rehab Shampoo

Now I have funny hair - the middle and towards the ends get dry, but the rest doesn't. I wash my hair every other day - so for example, I'll wash it, miss a day, wash it, miss a day, wash it etc and on the days I don't wash my hair, it's okay but you can tell it's not freshly washed and by the end of the day it's starting to look greasy. So I thought (with the help of some lovely fellow Bloggers) that I would venture into Lush and see if they had anything I could try. I found Rehab shampoo. At first I thought 'what!' But I picked it up read the label and thought I'll give it a go, what harm can it do.

As soon as I tried Rehab I could tell my hair had improved - it smelt gorgeous straight away. When you first open the bottle and pour some in your hands and start to massage it into your scalp it kind of smells like After Eights! Which I loved, but also expected as Rehab does contain Peppermint. This combined with Juniper are said to stimulate the blood flow which helps the scalps condition over time. 
Sea salt and seaweed also helps your hair feel lovely and soft and full of shine! This shampoo also contains fresh papaya, pineapple, kiwi and mango and those juices are then mixed with strengthening, organic extra virgin olive oil and jojoba oils. So it definitely is full of lovely fresh and natural ingredients to help get your hair back health! 

Can I just say, the label made me giggle? It confused me the first few times I read it but the third time it finally clicked - well done Lush, you clever little things you! 

And I can safely say it worked! I adored the smell straight away and it didn't clash when I used my conditioner either which is always a bonus, when I dried my hair it was SO shiny and soft, I fell in love with this shampoo straight away. The real test of this shampoo would be on the day I didn't wash my hair - and I can safely say, I definitely saw and felt an improvement. The next day, my hair still felt lovely and fresh and it had kept it's shine by the end of the day and still felt lovely and soft! It definitely did what I was told it would and keep the excess oils at bay! 

I thought I would need to buy more of this soon I have long hair that's relatively thick so I use more than normal Shampoo and Conditioner. However, it's been quite a few months (I have used other Shampoo in between, mainly T gel as I had a really bad bout of dreaded dandruff looked like I had poured salt on my head at one point- think I use my hairdryer on a too hot setting).  Anywho, I have only used half a bottle of Rehab! But I already know I definitely will be repurchasing this as soon as I run out! 

Lush Comforter Bubble Bar

I'm all for delicious smells, but the scent of The Comforter Bubble Bar from Lush knocked me off my damn feet. I was browsing in a Lush store for some bath bombs, but I also picked up this. It's one of those things that was lurking around in the back of my mind and silently screaming 'yeah, I've heard this is good'. 

For £4.50 you get a quite a massive bar of blackcurrant smelling goodness - I've so far used it twice and I've not made a dent in the thing! To use this I break off a bit and crumble it under the tap and watch as it creates lots of bubbles and a pinky tint in the water. The bonus really is the smell though, I'm actually rather addicted to just sitting and sniffing it. 

It's got a lovely blackcurrant scent, but it also smells almost 'fizzy', and there's also a whiff or two of something more herbal - basically an all round nostril pleaser. It's the perfect bathtime pick me up for all the miserable rainy, gross, days we've been having lately. It's also far more economical than a Lush bath bomb, you'll get a fair few used out of this little beauty.

Christmas presents

Hello my lovely beautiful dolls,

It's a bit late, but I've been busy. Since reading other blogs I have always been interested in what others get for Xmas. It's always nice to see that people get lovely gifts. So without further adieu here is what I received for Xmas.

Cake decorating turntable, cake making and decorating books and cupcake cookbook and baking tray.

 

Supernatural DVDs, HMV voucher, Jimmy Choo and Steps Perfume  

Nail files, tweezers and diary from my sister and brother in law as little stocking fillers.

 

Three Lush sets, 'Ho Ho Ho' and 'Sweetest Thing' are from mates and the 'Rosie' one is from my sister.

 

I've got two hobbies as of late, one is cake making and the other is growing my own fruit and veg. So my parents got me this little growing pot and book. 

 

The most adorable slippers I have ever seen. They are comfty to boot too.

 

More cake making stuff. A set of 3 measuring cups and a little egg timer in the shape of a mixer and storage tins from my parents and a cupcake book from my friend. The sweetst thing is they are from a collection calle 'Rosie's Pantry' which is exclusive to Boots.

More cake stuff a lovely little apron and tea towel set and some cake moulds.

I also got two pj sets from my nan and grandad one was a Minnie Mouse set and the other a piglet set both from primark and a polar bear onsie from my parents, however I have worn them already before I took a picture. I will take a picture before I next wear them though.
